Calvin meant that Christians should not be too much taken up with earthly things. Christians have to realize and bear in mind that they are travelling towards the kingdom of heaven. In the year 1564 Calvin health went fast backwards, In february he preached for the last time, two months later he went for the last time to church. His friends carried him. When he feels his end was coming, He took goodbye of the teacher and the council in Geneva. On 27 may 1564 he was taken to his God.
